Except few of the teaching staff, majority of the students and their parents praised the governments initiative and even thousands of students got admitted in the schools.

However after completing the Class VI, nearly 10 percent of them were reluctant to continue with the CBSE syllabus. According to sources, the CBSE syllabus proved tough for the students and also for the teachers to teach as they do not have experience in teaching in English medium. Some other say that the new scheme which lacked the support of infrastructure and the much needed preparatory effort, resulted in additional burden on the teachers, thus affecting standards.
