Kakinada, Jan 26^th: Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU), vice chancellelor Mr. Allam Apparao asked the lecturers to make an assessment on the mental stability of the technical students coming from different places to acquire the engineering studies. On the eve of Republic Day celebrations, Mr. Apparao hoisted the national flag in the college premises and paid rich tributes to the freedom fighters. Senior researcher Dr. Murthy was the chief guest for the program. He felt very glad to be on the occasion.

In view of the suicide made by the engineering student, Narasamma, Mr Apparao asked the students not to get sacred with the technical studies. He motivated them to take the education as a challenge and to excel in their careers. He alleged that the suicide attempts of the engineering students coming from telugu medium are increasing day by day as they are unable to cope up with the English medium studies. He asked the college managements not to put any pressure on such students and to conduct physiological / motivational classes if necessary. University registrar V. Ravindra, examiner K.V Ramana, Principal I.V Prasad, director Yesu Ratnam and many more participated n the celebrations.
