Elected representatives, leaders of various political parties, representatives of service organizations and individuals shared their views on division of the State before the members of Justice Srikrishna Committee here on Wednesday. A team headed by committee's member secretary V.K. Duggal interacted with them at the Collector's office here. Excluding the representatives of the Bahujana Samaj Party and that of BC Aikya Sangham, others supported the unified Andhra Pradesh State. Jaggampet MLA Thota Narasimham felt that overall development of the State is only possible in Unified Andhra Pradesh. Zilla Parishad chairman Ch. Venugopalakrishna said that the district could enjoy the benefits of ‘Jalayagnam' only when the State is united. He felt that division of State would lead to river water disputes among the public. Vanamadi Venkateswara Rao of the Telugu Desam Party said that people of East Godavari district stands for unified State. He said that the panel members could visit more villages in the district to get the public opinion over the issue.
