A major Fire Mishap was occured in Kakinada Rural Indrapalem area here on Wednesday around 4pm. Short circuit from the transformer nearer to one of the attached houses at Pratap nagar bridge in Kakinada-Samarlkot canal road, is said to be the reason for the fire mishap. Listening to the incident, Kakinada Fire and Natural Disaster management departments were reached the place and bought the flames under control. Sources said, a total 35 hut houses were destroyed in this fire accident. Property worth Rs.15 Lakh was lost rendering 35 families homeless here. Revenue authorities arranged rehabilitation for the fire victims. Kakinada Satya Sai Seva Samiti arranged yellow rice packets and Annadana Samajam arranged food packets to these victims Yesterday. Collector Mrs. Neetu Kumari Prasad and Rural MLA Mr. Kannababu reached the spot immediately and reviewed the incident. Speaking on this, Mr. Kannababu has ordered the officials to take necessary steps to provide rehabilitation for victims. Rural MRO Mr. Joseph said that, as part of further relief measures, they are awaiting the directions of higher authorities as all the houses lost are in encroached area along Kakinada-Samarlkot irrigational canal.
