Hyderabad, April 12th: Election commission has requested the voters to locate their polling booth in advance to the election date to avoid confusion during the poll day. He asked the voters to identify their polling booths by checking on the website and SMS provided. A voter who wants to know the exact location of his polling station can send SMS to 56677 by typing CEO and the voter identity card number. Those voters who do no have the voter identity number can also type their house number. With in no time the voter will receive the SMS containing the information of the polling booth and its address.
Other than this the voter can visit the website www.ceoandhra.nic.in in which one can search for his/her name by typing in district and constituency which was updated as per the latest electoral rolls. Voters are advised to locate their polling stations prior to the polling day since the website and the SMS services are likely to be jammed due to overload on the polling day. However few voters are complaining that they were unable to receive the information even when the internet search engine is working fine. Voters from areas other than GHMC limits can browse the website address.
