Municipal Administration Minister Mr. Anaam Ram Narayana Reddy indicated that elections in the Local Bodies would be conducted in December. Minister laid the foundation stone for cyclone re-construction works worth Rs.2.3 Cr here on Thursday. Addressing the media persons, Mr. Reddy said that special officers would be appointed to all the 109 municipalities in the State, for which the tenure of the General Bodies would be completed by 29th September. He said that the special officers, in association with the Municipal Commissioners concerned would take up the development works until the elected representatives are voted to power across the State. His Cabinet colleagues Mr. Botcha Satyanarayana, Mr. Pilli Subhash Chandrabose and Mr. Pinipe Viswarup were present.
