LIC to launch Jeevan Mangal

Rajahmundry, Sep 1st: The Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) will launch a new micro insurance plan called ‘Jeevan Mangal’ on September 2 to cater to the needs of the weaker sections. The LIC local branch senior divisional manager, Mr. P.S.R Koteswara Rao, announced this here on Tuesday while inaugurating a week long insurance program.

Speaking on the occasion, he said that the local division had targeted to realize 4.55 lakh policies worth Rs 350 crore as premium in the current fiscal. Out of this targeted, they had realized nearly one lakh policies by collecting premium amount worth Rs 70 crore so far, he added. The LIC has planned a week long free medical camp at Bommur from September 2 and several other programs up to September 7.
