The District Review Committee (DRC) Meeting was conducted here on Saturday at Collectorate Vidhan Gowthami hall in Kakinada. According to this, the State Home Minister and District In-charge Minister Mrs. Sabitha Indra Reddy has presided over the program. The meeting witnessed heated exchanges between the elected representatives of the Telugu Desam Party and the Congress took during the discussion on many subjects. Due to these discussions, the meeting was prolonged to around 5.30hrs in the day. The session began with a demonstration staged by the TDP MLAs accusing the officials of favouring the SCs and STs at the cost of BCs while implementing the welfare programmes. Even as the meeting began, a heated debate took place on the old age pensions and the SC/ST sub-plan. They were mainly discussed about Thermal Power stations, District Rural Development Agency (DRDA), Upadi Hami Scheme, Panchayati Raj, Housing Corporation & Water Supply departments works execution in the district. However, the Home Minister has admonished both the Congress and TDP MLAs for creating disturbance in the meeting displaying banners depicting slogans. Ministers Mr. Pinipe Viswaroop, Mr. Thota Narasimha, District MLC's, MLA's, Collector Mrs. Neetu Kumari Prasad, Joint Collector Mr. Ahmed Babu and many other respective officials attended the meet.
