Kakinada, Mar 17th: Joint Collector Kona Sasidhar said 4,559 acre of assignment lands were identified for distribution among poor in the fifth round scheduled for Ambedkar Birth Anniversary celebrations. Reviewing the land availability position for the fifth round of land distribution at a meeting of the Revenue Divisional Officers, he said new guidelines for land distribution were received and the officers should hold the assignment committee meetings and finalize the list of beneficiaries in consultation with the MLAs concerned.
Of the land identified for distribution, he said, 3,836 acre was in Rampachodavaram Division, 707 acre in Peddapuram Division, 11 acres in Kakinada Division and five acre in Rajahmundry Division. The Joint Collector further asked the RDOs to strive for distribution of Lanka Lands in Rajahmundry and Amalapuram Divisions and also for identifying the assigned lands for distribution in Uppalaguptham and Katrenikona Mandals.
