Municipal Corporation is facing many problems in dumping the daily collected waste as available dumping yards are completely filled. Waste has become a big problem due to lack of dumping yards. Kakinada and Rajahmundry are mainly facing this problem as collection of lands for this purpose has also turned as a big problem. Rs. 1 crore has been given to revenue department for the purchase of new dumping lands for Rajahmundry Municipal Corporation. Mandapeta, Ramachandrapuram and Amalapuram municipal corporations has also given revenue to purchase dumping lands, but no steps were taken to collect them till now. Power project started to generate electricity from waste is being dragged and officers themselves agreed that they are neglecting to purchase these dumping lands are there will be no need of dumping lands after starting this project. All municipalities requested revenue department to look into this matter and resolve as early as possible.
