Kakinada Sea Ports Limited (KSPL) Chairman and Managing Director K.V Rao met JNTU-Kakinada Vice-Chancellor Allam Appa Rao in his chamber here on Friday. They discussed various issues pertaining to development of the region. Mr.Rao appreciated the efforts being made by the V.C and his team to secure global recognition to the university and assured to extend his support for further development. Prof. Rao said the deep water port was playing a crucial role in development of the State and exuded confidence that it would reach greater heights in the years ahead. JNTU-K expected logistical and financial support from industries, for which the Directorate of Industry – Institute Interaction was making the necessary efforts. KSL CEO Y.S. Prasad also joined the port chairman. Dr.Allam Apparo advised that there should be special committee appointed for environmental protection. He requested purnanandam that a person with sound knowledge in greenery, environment subjects must bring to his notice for this committee.
