Hyderabad, July 31st: The actor turned politician and former union minister, Mr. U.V Krishnam Raju resigned from the Praja Rajyam on Friday. Mr. Raju who lost from the Rajahmundry Lok Sabha seat sent his resignation to the party office. Speaking to the media persons, he said that he took the decision to resign the party as he was not able to do any justice to the party and it was improper to continue in the party without contributing anything to it.
However the PR chief, Mr. Chiranjeevi said that he did not receive any letter from Mr. Raju and will act accordingly after receiving the same. Meanwhile, Mr. Chowdary, a two term former Telugu Desam MLA, who contested on a PR ticket from Mandapeta in East Godavari district in the recent elections jointed the Congress on Friday. He along with Mr. Goli Ramarao, a prominent PR leader from Peddapuram, met the Chief Minister, Dr. Y.S Raja Shekar Reddy, at his camp office and joined the Congress. The ministers, Mr. Botsa Satyanarayana and Mr. Pilli Subhash Chandra Bose and the PCC in charge and MLA, Mr. K. Nageswara Rao were present.
