Kakinada Municipal Corporation has created a new record in Income & House tax collections for the 2013-14 financial year. Sources said, it has been reached to top position in the state in collection of these taxes by marking the highest percentage for this financial year. Out of 18.80 Crore rupees, the Corporation has collected 18.76 Crore rupees in this financial year. Meanwhile, the Tirupati Municipal Corporation has placed in the second position with 96.54 per cent. According to this, the Kakinada Corporation Commissioner Mr. Ramesh has congratulated the Revenue department staff on this achievement.
