An unidentified woman was caught on a CC (closed circuit) camera while running away with a three-year-old male baby from the Government General Hospital (GGH) here on Monday. The infant's mother, J. Devi, who belongs to Unduru village in Samalkot mandal, was talking to her relatives when the woman slipped away with the baby. The mischief maker was roaming around in the ward since morning but nobody suspected her motives. Police closed the entrance and exit gates of the hospital to catch the blamed but there was no use. They obtained a picture of the accused from the TV camera in the gynecology ward where Devi was recovering after delivering her baby. Special police teams were formed to trace the infant after a case of missing baby was booked in the One – Town police station.
