The RIL logistics private limited, subgroup of reliance industries limited is taking up the project called Eastern Star Pipeline Limited.
RIL has identified appropriate lands in East Godavari and Visakhapatnam districts for this project to lay pipeline of 150km length from KG basin of gadimoga to Visakhapatnam. This pipeline mainly concentrates on supply of gas to Visakhapatnam for industrial purpose. Nearly 1800 farmers in some mandals of both districts have been identified and Right-to-use notices have already been issued to some of them. Nearly 700 identified farmers up to tuni were issued notices of Right-to-use under the petroleum and minerals pipelines (PMP) Act 3(1) by Officials in East Godavari unit. Issuing of notices to Visakhapatnam unit officials is yet to start. After this issuing process, the RIL management will forward the matter to central government. After analysis of these notices, final notices will be issued by government to short listed farmers under PMP Act 6(1). RIL will then start further works like land attainment, laying of pipelines, etc  RIL spokesperson said that issuing notices will be finished within three to four months and would start work after issue of final notices. As of now, they are supplying gas to power plant and fertilizer units.
