Keep close watch on SHG accounts: Collector

Kakinada, April 17th: With the complaints received by the collector about the transfer of money into the accounts of SHG by the political parties to lure them for votes, East Godavari district collector, Mr. Gopala Krishna Dwevedi sought the cooperation of Bankers to keep a close watch on the bank accounts of Self Help Groups (SHG). Addressing the bankers, DRDA co-coordinators and mandal co-coordinators at district collectorate here on Friday, collector said that the names of the informers will be kept in secret and in addition to this suitable reward will be given.

 

Collector asked the bank managers to keep close watch on cash transactions exceeding Rs 50,000 in any account. He also asked to keep watch on ATM transactions for the next six days till the completion of the elections on April 23. He asked the public to furnish the details about the distribution of money, liquor or any other favor to toll free number 1090 in the SP office. People can also call to the mobile numbers 9849903899 (Collector), 9440796500 (SP), 9441796513 (special branch office). SP Charu Sinha, joint collector Kona Sasidhar, ASP Janardhan, DRDA PD B. Rama Rao, APD Narayana and others participated.
