Kakinada stands with Anna Hazare

The Anti Corruption People’s forum, Kakinada called upon people to support Anna Hazare, a 73-year-old Gandhian to root out corruption. Experts from Vijaya Lakshmi Nursing Home, Representatives of Political parties, Educational Experts, Representatives of Voluntary Organizations participated in a gathering here on Thursday. They have joined to stand with Anna Hazare to tackle corruption and clean up Indian politics. Hazare is championing, a citizen-developed bill called “Jan” Lokpal that will create an independent body, selected by judges, citizens and constitutional authorities, with enough power to investigate and punish all politicians. Therefore, leaders of political parties called upon  a rally which they were conducting. State Vice President of Loksatta Party, Mr. YD Rama Raju presided over this program. Speaking on this, he stated that It is impossible to abolish corruption completely with this rally, but he called upon to strive until we achieve ‘Jan’ Lokpal Bill. Association Social worker Dr.Aaluri Vijaya Lakshmi, Former Minister Chikkala Ramachandra Rao, Former Municipal Chairman Jyothula Sitarama Murthy, BJP District President Y.Mala Kondayya and others addressed. They decided to relay a strike at Balaji Cheruvu Center on Friday morning 10am and will submit an appeal letter at evening 5pm to The Collector. Candle light walk was conducted on Thursday night from Vijaya Lakshmi Nursing Home to Town Hall.
