State Secretary of IT & Communications Department, Mr. Sanjay Jaaju stated that Kakinada is going to become one of the Main Centers for IT by next year. He participated in the workshop conducted at Hotel Royal Park here on Monday. The session was on IT Industry in Tier II Cities, its prospects and challenges. IT Department, CII, ITAP, STPI organized this workshop. Speaking on this, Mr. Sanjay stated that Kakinada is in the second place in State after Vishakapatnam in Tier II cities. As, SEZ is going to commence, all necessary facilities for development of IT Industry are available, he added. He stressed that Andhra Pradesh is in the second place in IT Industry across the country. District Collector, Mr. M.Ravi Chandra advised that special Deputy Collector to look after the IT Industry in Kakinada. In this program, APIT Secretary Mr. Bipin Chandra, State CII Co-Convener Mr. Siva Kumar, CEO of Nyros Technologies Mr. MNS Pavan Kumar, Infotech AGM Mr. Venkateswarao, JC Mr. Ahmed Babu, STPI Director Mr. Venu Gopal, IT Department JD Mr. PS Murthy, Secretary of VS Lakshmi Educational Institutions Dr.V.Sita Ramaraju participated in this session.
