A joint meeting was conducted here on Sunday at seminar hall of JNTUK between the academicians of Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University-Kakinada (JNTUK) and Reliance Industries Limited (RIL)., Vice-Chancellor of JNTU-K, Prof. Allam Appa Rao told the Reliance team that the Central Government was sponsoring research taken up by 16 women through the JNTU-K. He said that the University was giving top priority to research. He sought support from the Reliance for sponsored research and explained in detail the university's efforts to bridge the gap between the institution and the industry. Senior Vice-President of the Reliance, Mr. Prem K. Varma said that their organization spent about Rs. 100 Crs towards fulfilling its corporate social responsibility and it was ready to extend a helping hand to the University. Director of JNTU-K Mr. K. Padma Raju presided over the session.
