JNTUK, Bangkok institute to team up

Kakinada, Oct 29th: The Asian Institute of Technology, Bangkok, has agreed for a tie-up with JNTU-Kakinada in the fields of mutual interest. AIT President Said Irandoust gave an assurance to this effect to JNTU-K directors P. Uday Bhaskar and S. Srinivas Kumar during their visit to AIT recently. The Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Kakinada(JNTUK) will shortly sign an MOU with the Asian Institute of Technology, Bangkok on the joint collaborative research projects and sponsored PG programs.

Dr Pinnamaneni Udaya Bhaskar, Director, Foreign Universities and Alumni Relations, JNTUK said that he, along with Prof S Srinivasa Kumar, his co-director on sponsored research during their visit to Bangkok from October 23-28-26, had held extensive discussions with University Chancellor Syed Iran Dosth and Indian program Co-ordinator Nitin Tripathi on mutual cooperation and collaboration in the areas of research and PG programs besides students and faculty exchange programs. ''We have agreed in principle to enter into an agreement. The MOU is expected to be signed during the ensuing visit of the Mr Dosth to the JNTUK in January,'' he added. The tie-up is for collaborative P.G courses, research projects and student and faculty exchange.
