Hyderabad, Oct 26th: The Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad, on Monday signed an agreement with Microsoft India to offer the Microsoft Dream Spark Programme, a free software giveaway, to over three lakh students from 380 affiliated engineering colleges in Andhra Pradesh. Under this initiative, students will get access to the latest Microsoft developer and designer tools at no cost.
In a statement, JNTUH Vice Chancellor D N Reddy said, ''In today’s highly competitive world, it is imperative for students to be well versed with the latest tools and technologies that their peers around the world use. ''The Microsoft DreamSpark programme will provide our students with the latest IT tools and software, preparing them for competition and future professions all at no cost.'' Under this agreement, JNTUH students whose studies touch upon Maths, Science, Technology, Engineering and Design will be offered free academic software licensing.
