JNTU launches DDP

Kakinada, Aug 2nd: In association with the Blekinge Institute of Technology (BIT), Sweden, the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Kakinada launched a Double Degree Program (DDP) in M.Tech in signal processing on Sunday. Under this program, Indian Students can study in Sweden and Swedish students can pursue technological education at JNTU-Kakinada. The details were disclosed by the vice chancellor of the university Prof. Allam Apparao. Aiming to show ample job opportunities for Indian students in European Union countries the university has introduced this course.

 

Speaking to the press persons after launching the course, Mr. Apparao said that the double degree program was a part of the varsity’s strategic plan for internationalization of education and raising academic standards on par with global standards. He said that students of B.Tech, BE, AMIE in ECE or EIE, AMIE, AMIETE were eligible for the course and tuition fee payable was Rs 1.25 lakh for the entire program.

 

The DDP provides opportunities to students in findings jobs in various organizations with international repute. These include Ericsson, Volvo, SAAB, ABB, Vodafone, Flextronics and other companies which have tie-ups with BIT for employment.
