JNTU-Kakinada, TCS sign MoU

Kakinada, Feb 1st:  JNTU-Kakinada and Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) on Feb 01 signed a MoU for academic and research collaborations under the `TCS-Sangam’ program. University Registrar V Ravindra and TCS Regional Head V Rajanna exchanged copies of the MoU in the presence of Vice-Chancellor Allam Appa Rao and TCS Head (Academic Interface Projects) K Suryanarayana. The areas of cooperation include internships, faculty development programs, Best Student and Best Student Project awards and workshops for students.

Prof. Appa Rao said the MoU would serve as a catalyst for upgrading the skills of faculty and students who would have access to the TCS’s academic interface program. It would give them a competitive edge in their future endeavors. JNTU-K would focus on exploring the possibility of supporting TCS in its learning, hiring and research requirements.

Mr. Rajanna said TCS had an enduring relationship with JNTU-K over the previous decade and it looked forward to fruitful ventures in the future. TCS was one of India’s biggest software companies which can provide an insight into the highly competitive world of computer science engineering for the youth. JNTU-K was a supplier of quality manpower and it promises to be a big source of human resources for a long time to come.
