JNTU-K to have sports stadium

Kakinada, Feb 2nd: With the funds extended by the old students and an estimation of Rs 1 crore, Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University is going to take up the construction works of sports stadium in its college premises soon. In this concern a review meeting was held with the old students, A.C.K Rao, T. Chandra Shekar and A. Ramarao and the College Vice Chancellor, Mr. Allam Apparao over the works. It is know that the college management is also going to take up the construction of over bridge from the college to the sports grounds.

JNTU-K as a university is having nearly 275 engineering colleges under its affiliation over 8 districts. The university developed into a world class institution under the supervision of its VC, Mr. Rao. The varsity is lagging behind in sports department carrying its operations in normal sheds. In-spite of all these the university stood first in national level in sports cadre too. With the management has taken initiatives to construct a stadium for its university. The university is going to develop its stadium in 16 sports categories.
