Mumbai University achieved Trophy in South-West Zone Inter-University Tennis (Women) Tournament, which was conducted grandly for 5 days from 17th of the January to 21st of the January at Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Kakinada. Nearly 150 Sports person across the Country from 45 Universities have participated in this competition. Osmania University stood as Runner-ups. JNTU Madras & Kakinada Universities stood in third & fourth positions. These four teams will be participating in All India Tennis Competitions at Patiala University, Delhi. According to this, Vice Chancellor's Wife Smt. Nagamani Apparao participated as the chief guest in the last day of competitions. Later, V.C Mr. Allam Apparao, Registrar Mr. V.Ravindra, Rector Mr. Satya Prasad, Secretary Mr. Syam Kumar felicitated Mr. Gollapalli Lakshmana Rao, Mr. Chakka Subba Rao, Mr. N.S.Dileep who provided their valuable services to sports. Mr. Padma Raju, Mr. K.Murali Krishna, Mr. I.Santhi Prabha, Mr. I.V.Prasad, Mr. Apparao, Principal Mr. Uday Bhaskar, Vijayanagaram P.D Mr. Raju and other Engineering Colleges are participated.
