Engineering and Pharmacy annual examinations at Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University began on this Monday. The examinations will be concluded on June 3rd. Dr.Ch.Satyanarayana, the Controller of the Examinations, JNTU-K, said nearly two lakh students of 176 affiliated colleges of JNTU from 6 districts in the state starting from Srikakulam to Prakasam were appearing for the examinations. Before the examinations, Vice Chancellor of JNTU-K Prof.Allam Apparao, held a meeting with staff and directed them to make sure that the examinations must be conducted in a peaceful manner. He also warned that the students should not undergo any malpractice during the examinations. If any malpractice came to his notice, serious action including debarring the examinations would be taken against them, he added.
