Playing sports makes a man success in every field says Mr.M.Ravichandra, the Collector. Sports day was grandly celebrated at JNTU, Kakinada this Friday at 7:30 Pm. On this occasion, Collector Mr.M.Ravichandra said that parents should encourage their children to participate in sports and this helps them to withstand under any situation he added. During the celebrations, he recalled his college days during 1990 where he joined under sports quota in mechanical branch he added. He also said that he did not regret about ragging on his first day and now he stood as Collector before them. Worst cases are taking place in few colleges in the name of ragging and this should be completely avoided. This event was organized by University Principal E.V.Prasad and Collector Mr.M.Ravichandra participated as chief guest. Its proud to say that students pursuing their degree from JNTU are now high-level officers in almost every field and every student must feel responsible to keep up University fame he added. Accompanying him V.C.Allam Apparao requested Sports Coach Mr.K.Syam kumar to train every student for 2hours every day from evening 4pm to 6pm. Collector said that bio-metric machines will be arranged in college very soon. Later Collector was felicitated by V.C Allam Apparao and other University Directors. Sports men attained shields & certificates by Collector and National Sports & Physical Director Dr.P.Chinnappa Reddy. Other students and directors also participated in this event.
