JNTU entered into an agreement with Wipro

Kakinada, Mar 16th: Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University has entered into an agreement with Wipro Technologies by signing up the memorandum of understanding (MoU) here on Monday. Wipro Technologies has taken up a Mission 10 X program for enhancing the employment skills in the engineering graduates. Under this program, training will be given to nearly 10,000 faculty belonging to all the 172 JNTU affiliated colleges in the eight district zone from Prakasam to Srikakulam.

 

Agreement was signed by the university registrar, Dr. V. Ravindra and the head of the Mission 10 X program, Mr. S. Nagarjuna under the presence of JNTU vice chancellor, Mr. Allam Apparao and senior vice president of Wipro Technologies, Dr. Selvan. Speaking to the media on this occasion, Mr. Selvan said that the program has received great response and nearly 2,298 students were empowered till February, 2009 from various colleges in the country.

 

Under this training program, 10,000 faculty from various JNTU affiliated colleges will be given training for three years from now and will in turn give training to the students for better development of employment skills. Vice Chancellor said that the motto for taking up the program was to impart students with valuable suggestions and ideas from the experts. Placement officer K. Padma Raju, S. Nagarjuna, Vijaykumar, Prabakar, Yesuratnam and many more participated.
