Kakinada, Aug 20th: Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Kakinada (JNTUK) has grandly celebrated its first anniversary celebrations here on Thursday. As a part of this it has organized ‘Viswavidyala Varshika Saptaham’, (University Annual week) from 14-08-2009 to 20-08-2009 at the University Head Quarters at Kakinada. It is proposed to organize this event every year on the same dates to foster friendship among the students, staff and managements of Eight District Zone of Excellence (EDZE).

Chairman of Andhra Pradesh Technical Education, Prof. K.C Reddy attended as the chief guest for the program. Speaking on the occasion he revealed that India is a country enriched with various resources and by making use of them in correct proportions  makes the country to stand first in the world class competitions. University vice chancellor, Mr. Allam Apparao also spoke on the occasion. He said that the university is going to introduce various new courses depending upon the present needs.

Later Mr. Reedy unveiled the book written by Mr. Apparao named “The Making of a World Class University”. AP Technical Education vice chairman Mr. Thathaji, Nannayya University VC Niruparani, NTR University VC A.V Krishnam Raju, Ambedkar University Sudhakar, Law University B. Satyanarayana, IIIT director Dr. Ibrahim and many more participated.
