JNTU Sports Day was celebrated at University premises here on Wednesday. Vice Chancellor of JNTU-K, Prof. Allam Apparao started these celebrations at 8pm in the evening. Speaking on this, Prof. Apparao said that every man starts his life with games and words, later find their way for success. He stressed that university is always encouraging sports and students should utilize it, he added. District Collector, Mr. Ravi Chandra recalled his student life and said, “I had received awards by the Collector and SP at that time and now presenting prizes to students as a Collector; I am feeling very proud of myself”. International Sports Women Satti Geeta reminded that failure is the key to success. She recalled failures in her life and said that she participated in the Olympics and achieved  a medal for the country although her leg was hurt. Later, Vice Chancellor of JNTU-K Prof. Allam Apparao, District Collector, Mr. Ravi Chandra, Directors and others grandly felicitated Satti Geeta and presented a Memo. Later, gave away prizes to the winners of various sports competitions held. University Sports Secretary, Mr. G. Syam Kumar presided over this function. Rector K.Satya Prasad, Registrar V.Ravindra, Directors and students participated in this program.
