Joint Collector Mr. K.Sasidhar warned the officials against showing careless attitude in distributing the relief funds to the flood victims here on Monday. Addressing the ‘Praja Darbar'(grievance cell) program, Mr.Sasidhar said that rice and kerosene were already being distributed to the fair price shops concerned and would be distributed to flood-victims on the receipt of coupons. Ex Gratia to the fully damaged and partly damaged houses would be paid in the form of cheques, which would be directly issued in the name of beneficiaries he added. Each family would get 20 kg of rice and five liters of kerosene towards flood relief and coupons had already been distributed to 25,000 families he added. He asked the officials to respond immediately to the problems faced by the public through the grievance cell program. Over 350 people submitted a memoranda to the Joint Collector during the program. Additional Joint Collector B. Rama Rao and other officials were present.
