JC visit to cinema halls

Kakinada, June 23rd: East Godavari district joint collector, Mr. Kona Sasidhar reviewed the amenities in the cinema theaters on Tuesday and warned to take severe action on the concerned over display of obscene posters at public areas. He ordered removal of such posters within 24 hours. Addressing the exhibitors, JC reminded them about the need of providing better amenities in theaters including toilets, drinking water and AC facilities etc.

 

He also suggested first aid boxes, proper working of fans and fire fighting equipment in theaters. He said that if any movie was certified as ‘A’ the posters should be displayed at permitted places. He warned of action if soft drinks and eatables were sold at high prices than MRP. He ordered to remove flex boards and unauthorized publicity material from public places within ten days. He announced the inspection of theaters by teams of revenue and municipal officials in the next ten days to check amenities.
