Jamaat-e Islami Hind (JIH) President (Andhra Pradesh and Orissa) Malick Moatasim Khan,said the development of Muslims was restricted by illiteracy, which in turn affected the country's growth. Education was one area where the Muslims lagged behind. Women in every Muslim family should pursue higher education, he expressed in a public meeting organized by JIH at Ananda Bharati grounds this Sunday.
JIH Central advisory council member Amanullah Khan said every Muslim should understand his / her religion properly in order to lead a virtuous living. Islam stood for peace and it has to be followed in letter and spirit to strengthen peace all around. Muslims should contribute their touch to make the world a peaceful place to live devoid of all man – made structures.
