Kakinada, Feb 26th: As a part of Jail Bharo program, several activists and leaders belonging to Maha Kutami formed with the grand alliance of TDP, CPI and CPM has organized dharna at district collectorate on Thursday. Nearly 100 activists reached the collectorate and raised slogans against the congress government for its improper and irregular rule. They denounced the government and termed the rule of Rajasekhar Reddy as corrupt. Holding the party flags they laid siege to the collectorate for some time.
On hearing the news police reached the collectorate and asked the agitators to disperse. When they did not do so, police arrested both the party leaders and the party cadre and shifted them to three town police station. Later they were released after an hour. Mean while at Rajahmundry the grand alliance partners staged dharna at thasildhar Office on Thursday to protest against the graft in the ruling congress. Maha Kutami leaders Chikkala Rama Chandra Rao, Vanamadi Konda Babu, Pilli Sathi Babu, B. Vera Venkata Satyanarayana, B. Krishna Mohan, Dusarlapudi Ramana Raju, Pallivela Lakshmi, T. Madhu, Naga Mani and many more participated.
