Jagan fans set afire 2 buses

Rajahmundry, Sep 27th: Larger number of fans of former chief minister Y.S Raja Shekar Reddy and his son Mr. Y.S Jagan Mohan Reddy, burnt two RTC buses as part of their move against the party high command for the delay in making Y.S Jagan as the chief minister of state. As many as 50 activists and leaders under the aegis of 47th ward corporator of Rajahmundry Municipal Corporation, Mr. Ch Raghava Babu, stopped two RTC buses at quarry area centre around 5 km away from here and started damaging the buses.

Raising slogans against executive members of the AICC and the PCC, Ms Sonia Gandhi and Mr. D. Srinivas for their delay in appointing Jagan as chief minister, the activists initially stopped one bus coming from Gangavaram to Rajahmundry and later they burnt the bus after dousing petrol on it. They later targeted another bus coming from Addateegala in the district. They burnt the bus in the similar manner on the directions of their leader and corporator Mr. Ch. Raghava Babu. Meanwhile the MP from Amalapuram constituency in East Godavari district, Mr. G.V Harsha Kumar and his followers rushed to the spot and asked police to take severe action against those involved in damaging public property. DSP, Ms Janaki rushed to the spot and brought the situation into control.
