The three day long Children's Film Festival organized jointly by the district administration and the Chennai-based Children's Film Society of India was inaugurated by Joint Collector Mr. K.Sasidhar this Monday. Participating in the inaugural function, Mr.Sasidhar said that feature films will help children to develop brotherhood, improve their balanced thinking and fight against superstitions. He said that about 70,000 passes were already being distributed to all the schools in the district through the department of education. Students studying class V to class X could watch the films free of cost. Mr. Sasidhar conveyed confidence that the films would help the overall development of the children. Kakinada Revenue Divisional Officer (RDO) G.C. Kishore Kumar, district public relations officer V. Ramanjaneyulu, district educational officer Ganga Bhavani and other officials were present.
