IT couple commits suicide

Hyderabad, Oct 12th: A married couple, both software engineers committed suicide after killing their three-year-old son in their residence at Nizampet on the outskirts of the city on Monday due to financial problems. The couple were identified as T.L.S.V Rama Rao, 34, Neelima, 28, Nitish, natives of Eluru. Police said Rama Rao and his wife Neelima committed suicide by hanging themselves at separate bedrooms in their house while the body of Nitish was found lying on the bed.

According to the police the couple worked as software engineers in Bengaluru. In May 2008, they bought a flat at Nizampet and had been staying there since then. Rama Rao was a TL in IBM but Neelima reportedly lost her job in a software company three months ago. The police said that the couple was facing financial troubles and were having marital disputes too. A note was recovered purportedly written by Rao, stating that the couple had decided to end their lives due to acute financial constraints and simmering differences of opinion between them. The bodies were sent for post-mortem and their parents were informed accordingly, police added.
