Issue of ration cards through e-seva counters

Hyderabad, June 23rd:  The government is planning to issue ration cards through e-seva counters. It was going to focus on the issue after weeding out the bogus ration cards in the state. According to the sources out of 2.03 crore white ration cards in the state, nearly 40 lakh are found to be bogus cards. The government has planned to take up a drive to cancel all these cards from the month of July. As a part of this through Iris technology most of the cards will be weeded out and secondly the officials concerned will start a door to door visits to each and every house in the villages and cancel them immediately if any irregularities were found.

 

After weeding out all the bogus cards the government will plan to issue new cards to all the eligible persons through e-seva counters. Presently the cards are being issued through permanent DPL centers and they imposing financial crises on the government, it decided to cancel the process through DPL centers and start the same through e-seva centers. An individual aiming to get the ration card should first register his name at their concerned Thasidhar centers and the officials after taking necessary confirmation will issue card to the person.
