Issue of Identity Cards to auto drivers

     Rajahmundry, Nov 25th: The traffic police are issuing identity cards to auto drivers regarding the details of their auto rickshaw. The authorities are trying to computerize the details pertaining to the auto rickshaw for the safe guard of the passengers.

       Details will be computerized and five digit registration numbers were being issued to the auto rickshaw in serial containing the details regarding the license, vehicle registration, pollution and fitness certificate.

       The ID numbers will be displayed on the back side of auto driver’s seat, front and rear side of auto. All the drivers should wear uniform and ID cards given to them when they are in duty. If any passenger find fault in the number are forgets the valuable articles while alighting, they can call to the police and give the ID number.

      Police can trace the auto rickshaw with the ID number and can find the culprits with in no time. Speaking on the occasion DSP Mr.S. Saibaba asked the drivers to follow the traffic rules and take the passengers safely to the destination. “Severe action will be taken those who violate the rules”, he added.
