Kakinada, Feb 18th: Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Kakinada has organized a one day international workshop on ‘Grand Engineering Challenges’ on Wednesday. JNTU vice chancellor Mr. Allam Apparao has inaugurated the program. It was conducted under TEQIP (Technical Education Quality Development Program) at local RMC auditorium. Renowned scientists from Singapore, US and Australia have attended the program. Head of the Joint Proteomics laboratory of Lewing Institute for Cancer Reasearch, Prof. Richard Simpson attended as the chief guest for the program.
Addressing the gathering, Mr. Simpson gave a presentation on the Biomarker of Colon Cancer. For curing the cancer in the early stage, Mr. Simpson discussed about the latest methods of predicting the cancer in advance. He said that there is a huge need of engineers in inventing these latest equipments. Mr. Allam Apparao also presided over the meeting. Speaking on the occasion he revealed the role of engineers in creating personalized medicine. He pointed out some of the inventions of engineers which led to the improvement of society in every aspect of human life. Later VC presented memento to Mr. Simpson. Vice Principal Dr. Prasada Rao, Examiner K.V Ramana, lecturers and students attended the meeting.
