Vishakapatnam-2 Customs, Central Excise & Service Tax Commissioner R.Sankuthala stated that actions will be taken to arrange Preventive Customs Commissionerate in Kakinada very soon. She participated as chief guest in the International Customs Day observed here at Kakinada Customs House here on Thursday. Arrangement of Commissionerate will express favor to Government as Kakinada port is the place where lot of exports and imports take place regularly. With the liaison of Krishnapatnam, Kakinada port and other shortly opening ports, Kakinada Commissionerate will be arranged, she added. Shakuntala also said that Kakinada Customs House has collected tax in record level for this financial year. For this academic year, tax target was Rs.484 Crores but collected Rs.950 Crores. Customs House Deputy Commissioner LV Rao said this to news line. Chamber of Commerce President Dantu Suryarao appreciated the staff on their dedication and effort. Awards were presented to Kakinada port companies which deals with exports and imports.
