Inter weightage to EAMCET

      Hyderabad, Dec 4th: Government has finalized the implementation of inter marks to the EAMCET on Thursday. The weightage will be taken from the marks obtained from the subjects Mathematics, Physics and chemistry excluding the languages. Chairman of higher education, K.C Reddy told here to reporters on Thursday.

    The new systems of EAMCET ranking will start from EAMCET-2009. The weightage is applicable to CBSC, ICSE, National open school and Polytechnic students who were appearing for the entrance exam. 75% weightage will be given to EAMCET marks and 25% to Intermediate marks.

    Every year the ranks will be announced earlier to intermediate results and supplementary results. But for the students appearing for EAMCET-2009 will get the ranks only after the intermediate results following the supplementary results. For medical aspirants the weightage will be taken from the subjects Biology, Physics and Chemistry.

     Technical Educational Commissioner said that the Government has taken this decision in favour to provide importance to intermediate for the both Engineering and Medical aspirants. A Check has been laid for the students who were appearing for the entrance test after the completion of junior inter. The applicants have to enter their hall ticket number on the EAMCET application while applying for the entrance exam.
