Inter exams likely to postpone

Hyderabad, Jan 28th: Intermediate Public Exams which are scheduled to be held between Mach 3 to 22 are likely to postpone by a week. This means it will now begin on March 10. A review meeting in this regard convened by the Chief Minister, Mr. K Rosaiah would likely to be held at Secretariat on Friday. Though the main purpose of the meet is to review the functioning of the higher education department, the demand to postpone the exams made by the Telangana JAC is likely to hog the limelight.

Three ministers from the Telangana region requested the Chief Minster to postpone the exams as students lost classes due to Telangana agitation. However the minister for secondary education, Mr. Manikya Vara Prasada Rao, was against postponement. He said that the postponement of the exams will have an adverse effect on the entire process. Officials of the Board of Intermediate Education said they have already completed the bar-coding and packaging of over 1.5 crore OMR answer sheets.
