District Collector Mrs. Neethu Kumari Prasad has announced that the state government has granted permission to establish Industrial Park at Sarpavaram in Kakinada. According to this, she has conducted a review meet with District Industries Promotion Committee here on Wednesday at Collectorate in Kakinada. Speaking on this, she had discussed with the committee about Micro, Small & Medium industries establishment in the district. She stated that they have received 220 applications for small industries, in that approval given for the establishment of 174 units in the district. Additional information is required for 31 applications, so that they were in pending and remaining 4 applications were rejected due to some reasons, she added. She said, a total 204 units were approved with Rs.17,273 lakhs of expenses for Micro, Small & Medium industries under Part-1 scheme. Similarly, under Part-2, 128 units were approved with Rs.6,805 lakhs of expenses, she added.
