SP Mr.C.M.Trivikram Varma has conducted a sudden inspection on town police stations. On this occasion, in a press meet he said that they have increased surveillance to prevent increased robberies in port. To maintain this we have kept staff of five police stations on this duty, he added. Along with Port police station, Sarpavaram, Thimmapuram, Three Town and Marine police station SI's and staff will be on patrol in the nights, he added. We will carry out this surveillance with the help of port workers, he added. He also said that they have organised a meet with all the business men to discuss on the same matter. We are cancelling the search warrant on two wheelers except for those who are found to be suspected and those who travel with more than two persons, he added. We will take steps to prevent robbery of Oil from the wells of ONGC, he added. He also said that very soon they are going to conference with ONGC officers to discuss on this matter. DSP was ordered by me to conduct sudden inspection for four times in a month, he added.
