People of Kakinada are worried as vegetable prices are increasing day by day. Increase in vegetable prices of the crops which are grown in larger extent in district is creating agitation. Common people are suffering due to increase in vegetable prices from past one month. Crops of Brinjal, Tomato, Ladies Finger, Ridge gourd, Tindoora and Bottle gourd are plentiful but still prices are very high. In Rythu Bazar, price of one Kilo Brinjal was Rs.10 last month and now it is Rs.22 per kilo but in public market it reached Rs.50 per kilo. Ridge gourd, Ladies Finger reached Rs.40 per kilo in public market. People are complaining that higher officials related must react to this increase in price immediately.
