Kakinada, Jan 22nd: School Games Federation of Andhra Pradesh has organized the 54th national ball badminton championships under-19 group. The Championship was inaugurated grandly on Thursday at local Ideal Junior College, Indrapalem. The union minister for state for defence, Mr. M.M Pallam Raju has hoisted the national flag and opened the championship. Ideal College Correspondent, P. Chiranjeevini Kumari, MLA Muttha Gopala Krishna and Mr Pallam Raju have done the Jyothiprajwalana and initiated the programs. Later National Federation flag was hoisted by Muttha Gopala. District educational minister for vocational courses, Mr. Prem Raj hoisted the district federation flag.
Nearly 175 students from the 12 participating districts have welcomed the chief guests with their March-past. The participating states include AP, Madhya Pradesh, Tamilnadu, Maharashtra, Haryana, Kerala, Karnataka and others. Speaking on the occasion, the co-conveyer of the organizing committee, Dr. P Chiranjeevini Kumari said that, organizing of such events bring oneness among the participants and indicate national integration among the different participating states. She asked the students to go for daily practice so as to excel in the championship.
