Kakinada DSP, Mr. Lakshmi Narayana called upon the youth to take part in plantation programs to prevent pollution in atmosphere and for environmental protection. ‘IMatter March’ was conducted in joint association with Nyros Technologies and JNTU-K Carbon Credit Club here as a part of friendship day celebrations. DSP, Mr. Lakshmi Narayana participated in the flag-off of the IMatter March. Speaking on this, he stated that in order to reduce Carbon Dioxide in air and to increase percentage of Oxygen, everybody must plant saplings. In this march, everybody tied friendship bands to trees and plants with a tag written as ‘IMatter’ to signify the environmental protection. CEO of Nyros Technologies, Mr. MNS Pavan Kumar stated that this event has been conducted as a part of “Cities for Forests” program, which is being conducted in joint association with WWF of India and IMatter International organization. After the flag-off, the rally proceeded from Bhanugudi Junction to Vivekananda Park. Students from various schools and colleges tied friendship bands to plants. Total 800 plants were distributed free in association with District Forest Department Officer Mr. Raghavayya. In this program, Representative of JNTU Carbon Credit Club Mr.Srikanth, Representative of Nyros Technologies Mr.Muralidhar, Traffic CI Aritakula Srinivas, Two Town Incharge SI Satyanaryana, students of various schools were present.
