Hyderabad, Dec 20th: Students will have to appear for a separate entrance test for admission to Institute of Space Science and Technology (IIST), a deemed university established by the Department of Science in Thiruvananthapuram, from this year. Earlier students who make it to the extended list of IIT-JEE were considered for admission to IIST. To be eligible to appear for the test, students must have secured 70 percent marks in MPC stream in 10+2 exams this year.
ISAT-2010 will be held on April 16, 2010, in 30 cities across the country. The online application process will begin on Monday. The IIST offers three under-graduate programmers and four-year B.Tech courses in Avionics, Aerospace Engineering and Physical science. The student intake for all three streams is 156. Candidates must apply online and online application form will be available from December 21, 2009 to January 31, 2010 in the IIST website www.iist.ac.in/IIST/ISAT-2010 and the alternate link www.iist.gov.in/list/.
