IIITs list not found in website

Hyderabad, August 2nd: The List of selected candidates for Indian Institute of Information Technologies (IIIT) taken up by the Rajiv Gandhi University of Knowledge Technologies was not found in the website as scheduled on Saturday. Prof K.C Reddy, chairman, APSCHE who is also vice-chancellor of the university, had released a CD which was to contain list of 6,000 candidates selected for the IIITs at Idupulapaya, Nuzvid and Basar. Prof Reddy said the list has been put on its website http://rgukt.in. This got wide publicity on local television channels.

 

However when the students logged in, there was no list. The university officials failed to upload the list on the website even till 10pm. They said the delay was due to a “verification process” and they would upload the list by midnight and that students can view them from Sunday. Rural students bagged 96 percent of the seats in IIITs in merit list. Though 80 percent of the seats are reserved for rural students, they secured another 16 percent seats in state wide merit list.
